The agreement marks the beginning of a new phase of cooperation between the two institutions and reinforces their shared commitment to international, innovative higher education that is equipped to address the challenges of artificial intelligence.
Vic (Barcelona), 23 July 2026: The University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) and C3S Business School today formally signed an academic collaboration agreement in Vic, establishing a framework for the development of joint initiatives between the two institutions.
The agreement was signed by the Rector of UVic-UCC, Dr Josep Eladi Baños, and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of C3S Business School, Hiren Raval.
A delegation from C3S Business School travelled to Vic to attend the official signing ceremony. The delegation was led by Mr Raval and included the School’s Dean, Dr María Dugarte, and its Chief Financial Officer, Pretam Pandey.
The agreement represents an important milestone in the relationship between the two institutions and will provide the foundation for a range of future academic, institutional and international collaborative initiatives. The partnership reflects the shared commitment of both organisations to excellence in higher education, educational innovation and the preparation of students for the challenges of an increasingly dynamic global labour market.
Prior to the signing ceremony, the Rector of UVic-UCC and the Chief Executive Officer of C3S Business School held an open and wide-ranging discussion on the principal challenges currently facing higher education.
During their meeting, they exchanged views on the evolving profile of today’s students and agreed on the growing importance of educating learners not only in knowledge and technical competences, but also in the skills, attitudes and values that will enable future professionals to succeed in a world profoundly reshaped by artificial intelligence and the rapid digitalisation of the economy.
Their discussion highlighted the need to strengthen capabilities such as critical thinking, adaptability, creativity, communication, leadership, responsibility and sound decision-making in complex environments. Both leaders agreed that, at a time when artificial intelligence is transforming the way people learn, work and lead organisations, higher education must continue to place the holistic development of the individual at the heart of the educational experience.
This exchange of ideas provided a fitting foundation for the signing of the agreement and demonstrated a shared vision of the role universities and business schools must play in educating the next generation of global professionals.
